Brisbane Swimming Pools
Looking for a tranquil way to practice your swimming skills,
join an aqua aerobic class, or simply cool your body off
apart from the rivers and beaches of Brisbane? There is an
abundance of public swimming pools along the Brisbane area
and they cater to everyone, from serious athletes to those
who go to the pool area just to chill and relax and let the
day pass. The Brisbane City Council boasts seventeen public
pools, all of which are equipped with change rooms, showers
and variety of stalls.
Featuring a 50-meter outside pool, the Fortitude Valley Pool
has been attracting office workers who just want to chill
out after a long day's work.
It is also opened during winter, and the pool is also
heated. The pool has also been a popular place for water
polo, squad swimming and swimming lessons. The Hibiscus
Sports Complex boasts a gym and a 50-meter outdoor pool, a
heated 25-meter indoor pool, and another 12-meter heated
indoor pool where swimming lessons are held. All indoor
pools are open during the winter season.

Although a small pool complex, with a size of 25 yards,
Ithaca Pool in Paddington's strength lies in the nearby
park. During summer, you can choose to bake yourself under
the sun in the grassy area or rent on recliners where you
can relax and listen to the tunes before plunging in the
water. Jindalee Pool has a 50-meter outdoor pool and a
heated 17-meter pool where swimming lessons are being held.
If you're not swimming, you can relax under the shady trees.
Already opened at 5:30 AM exclusively for lap swimming is
the Manly Pool. The pool's 33-meter wading main pool is also
equipped with water slide for
kids and activities such as
aqua-aerobics are also available. Located in South Brisbane
is the Musgrave Park Pool which is strategically located to
its guests a beautiful view of the city skyline while
they are enjoying at the 50-meter outdoor pool, either
swimming or playing water polo.
Considered a kids' haven is the Newmarket Pool as included
in the 50-meter heated outside wading pool are slides and
waterspouts. 1t also includes a
25-meter heated indoor pool.
Other activities it promotes include swimming lessons and
squad training (junior, senior or school-age). Sandgate
Pool, on the other hand, includes a 50-meter beach pool with
water slides and play features and an indoor pool although
the latter is only used for therapy and swimming lessons. It
has barbeque facilities and playground for everyone.
